26.08.2001 GRENA 2 Mbps regional network connecting Tbilisi, Gori, Kutaisi, Poti and Zugdidi started operation. Network is based on modern Cisco equipment and uses fiber optic channel from LTD Fiber-Optic Telecommunication Network - Foptnet.
