The primary mission of GRENA is creation of a unique information infrastructure connected to Internet   for Georgian research and educational institutions, libraries, academic hospitals, international organizations and their programs working in education. 
It was founded on 26 July 1999.

CERT Georgia and Association GRENA provide technical support in terms of computer and network security to the Georgian higher education institutions using GRENA internet network. 
  • GRENA may only provide services to research, educational institutions, libraries, academic hospitals, NGO, international organizations working in education and their programs. 

  • GRENA DSL internet service offer high speed internet connection for 24 hours. Read more

  • GRENA offers it's Customers the possibility to station their home-pages on our servers. First an application should be sent to GRENA (by ordinary mail), giving the short description of the content the organization intends to make available on that page. Then an ftp-account will be established. Construction and updating of the web-page will remain the responsibility of the organization itself. The regulation of capacity of web space is subject of negotiations. If the contents of the web-page are not suitable for the educational and research network, GRENA has the right to restrict access to the web-page. Access can be re-opened after the content of the web-page has been changed.
